Marla Mitchell is an Advisory Director at Sorren, where she supports businesses and nonprofit organizations with financial insight, reporting, and operational leadership. With more than 15 years of experience spanning accounting, budgeting, compliance, and project management, Marla brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to every engagement. Marla joined KDP in 2020, bringing her expertise to Sorren through the firm’s merger. Marla also served as Assistant Controller for a large nonprofit senior living organization. There, she oversaw financial reporting and audit preparation for over 50 entities, providing analysis and guidance to support financial stability and growth. Her background includes extensive work in team development, financing agreements, and process improvements, skills she now applies to help clients optimize operations and strengthen their financial foundations. Marla is especially passionate about project management and has led initiatives in software implementation, reporting optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. She thrives on the diversity of challenges presented by each client engagement and is energized by the opportunity to build strong, impactful partnerships.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Marla relocated to the Rogue Valley to attend university. Outside of work, Marla enjoys traveling, exploring wellness and nutrition, and spending time outdoors hiking, paddle boarding, and mountain biking.
