Derrick Lasley is an Assurance Partner at Sorren. Derrick brings over 12 years of public accounting experience to Sorren, with a specialized focus in real estate and real estate investment funds, manufacturing and distribution, the software industry, and nonprofit organizations. His client portfolio has included companies with revenues up to $200 million and assets nearing $900 million. He also leads employee benefit plan audits, including 401(k), health and welfare plans, and ESOPs, serving plans with assets exceeding $1 billion. Known for his analytical mindset and deep technical knowledge, Derrick is a resource for both clients and colleagues. He stays current on evolving auditing standards and frequently teaches continuing professional education (CPE) courses in employee benefit plan auditing and audit risk assessment. Before joining Harris in 2019, Derrick was an audit manager at one of California’s largest independent accounting and advisory firms.

Derrick enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife Melissa and their four children. He’s a lifelong L.A. Dodgers fan. He also has a goal to run a marathon in the future.
