Dawn Moore is a Principal at Sorren, with over 35 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and tax compliance. She brings specialized expertise across the nonprofit, automobile, real estate development, cellular cable, and captive insurance industries. Dawn provides comprehensive support to clients ranging from private schools and local nonprofits to auto dealers, real estate developers, and captive insurance companies. She is known for her proactive approach, thoughtful problem-solving, and strong client relationships built over decades of service. Before joining SBF through its merger with Dwight Darby & Company in 2022, Dawn worked with the firm for 28 years and previously held positions at regional and national firms in New Orleans. She regularly advises clients on tax-saving strategies, including the implementation of cash balance plans and captive insurance structuring.

Dawn also supports nonprofits in reinstating their exempt status and improving internal controls. Her involvement with the AutoCPA Group provides her with access to specialized industry insights, enabling dealership clients to stay ahead of regulatory, tax, and operational developments. She has authored articles for the group’s quarterly newsletter and served as its Program Chair. She has also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, mentored youth at the United Methodist Home for Children, and contributed to accounting education initiatives through the FICPA.
