Lori Johnston is a Partner at Sorren. With more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, Lori specializes in tax services for high-net-worth individuals and privately held businesses. She has deep expertise in real estate investment partnerships, multi-state entities, and long-term tax planning. Lori takes a strategic and client-centered approach, whether she’s helping clients grow their businesses or guiding them through complex transactions like a business sale. She particularly enjoys navigating the nuances of both buyer and seller interests and finding practical solutions that support her clients’ financial goals. Lori’s interest in accounting started early. She’s been maintaining financial records since middle school! Today, clients appreciate her forward-thinking insights and her ability to turn challenges into opportunities.

Originally from Burley, Idaho, Lori has an adventurous spirit and a lifelong love for sports. She was a member of the Weber State College 1982 AIAW Division II National Championship Golf Team and was named a 1982 College All-American. She picked up ice hockey at the age of 50 and can often be found on the rink or out on the trails hiking and mountain biking. Lori also enjoys traveling, cheering on her favorite teams, the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, and Washington Capitals, and planning new bucket list adventures. She has two children, Nick and Megan.
