Marcie Jones is a Director at Sorren, where she helps clients prevent, detect, and resolve fraud with a clear strategy and defensible documentation. A former Director of the IRS Office of Fraud Enforcement, she led initiatives that uncovered more than 5,000 fraud cases, resulting in civil fraud assessments on over 2,600 tax returns and more than 600 criminal referrals. She launched the Emerging Threats and Data Analytics Program that helped safeguard billions of dollars in tax revenue by intercepting fraudulent COVID-19 relief credit claims.
After serving in government, Marcie founded and led Follow the Funds, LLC, a forensic accounting firm specializing in litigation support and financial investigations. With over 20 years of experience at the IRS and expertise in embezzlement, mortgage fraud, tax fraud, and Ponzi schemes, she guides complex projects from initial review through resolution. Marcie is known for practical judgment, data-driven methods, and steady collaboration.
Marcie and her husband, Brad, live in Mississippi with their Havanese dogs, Oliver and Emma.
