Our History

The Dalles office traces its roots back to 1946, when Leonard D. “Dude” Bailey began serving clients in and around the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. What started as a small local practice grew steadily over decades through thoughtful leadership transitions and a commitment to developing future partners. As the firm evolved, so did its name, reflecting each generation of leadership, from Bailey, Clark and Byers to Byers, Neumayer & Bradford, then Friend & Reagan, and ultimately RTO & Company. Today, the team continues to build on nearly eight decades of trusted service.
