Brian Hess is the Office Partner-in-Charge at Sorren’s Gainesville, Texas office and a Partner with Sorren, Inc., where he provides tax planning and advisory services for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. With decades of experience serving clients across real estate, oil and gas, and related industries, Brian works with organizations ranging from approximately $1 million to more than $100 million in revenue. He is known for helping clients navigate complex tax matters while aligning tax strategy with long-term business and personal goals.
Brian brings deep technical knowledge and seasoned leadership to his role as a partner. From 1999 through 2025, he helped guide Hess & Rohmer, PC into one of the most trusted accounting, tax, and advisory practices in North Texas. Throughout his career, Brian has focused on delivering thoughtful, practical tax solutions and serving as a key member of his clients’ advisory teams, allowing business owners and investors to focus on their strengths while he helps manage complexity, risk, and opportunity. At Sorren, Brian contributes both his technical tax expertise and his experience leading firms, teams, and client relationships.
Originally from the small North Texas town of Muenster, Brian values community involvement and service. Outside of work, he has coached local youth sports teams, served as President and Director of the Cooke County Boys & Girls Club, and contributed to finance committees for St. Mary’s Church and School. He currently serves as the local chapter president for the Texas Tech Alumni Association. Brian enjoys attending sporting events with his two sons and spending time in the great outdoors.
