Dave Kast is a Partner at Sorren, bringing nearly five decades of experience in public accounting to clients across southern Colorado. Since 1975, Dave has performed, planned, and supervised audits for businesses ranging from early-stage startups to companies with revenues exceeding $200 million. His expertise spans a wide range of industries, including financial institutions, healthcare, real estate, and high tech. In addition to his audit work, Dave is an experienced valuation professional. He has provided valuation support in estate and gift tax matters, business transitions, and matrimonial disputes. He has testified on lost profits and accounting issues in various legal settings. As a Certified Valuation Analyst since 1998, Dave is recognized for his analytical rigor and clear communication in complex financial situations.

Dave is active in both professional and civic leadership. He has served on various committees focused on small business, real estate, nonprofit, and forensic accounting issues. He currently serves as secretary of the Garden of the Gods Foundation and was appointed to the Colorado Education and Cultural Facilities Authority Board by the Governor in 1999, where he also served as chairman. Dave has also supported numerous local organizations, including the Pikes Peak Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Community Partnership for Child Development, the Pikes Peak United Way, the Palmer Land Trust, and the Colorado Springs Economic Development Corporation.
