His career began at Adams & Muir CPAs and evolved over two decades at Hooper Cornell PLLC, where he rose to the position of Tax Partner. He transitioned to HH & Associates, where he spent eight years as the majority shareholder before merging with Harris, now Sorren. David’s tax practice has spanned a broad range of industries, including real estate, hospitality, and dental practices. His specialties include estate, trust, gift, and income tax planning, IRS audit representation, 1031 exchanges, and M&A transactions. Known for his strategic approach and longstanding client relationships, David provides not only technical guidance but also thoughtful problem-solving and practical leadership.
Originally from Council, Idaho, David remains deeply rooted in the Treasure Valley community and has consulted for several nonprofit organizations. He is recognized for his dedication to integrity and exceptional client service. David enjoys weekends at his family’s remote cabin in the mountains with his wife and three children. He’s a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Oregon Coast. He hopes to one day explore the castles of Scotland and connect with his family’s heritage.
