Ellen Fisher is a Partner at Sorren with nearly three decades of experience in public accounting. Since beginning her career in 1997, Ellen has specialized in employee benefit plan audits, as well as working with clients in the real estate, construction, nonprofit, and small to mid-sized business sectors. Her love for accounting began with its rule-based clarity, but over time, she has come to appreciate the creative thinking and problem-solving that define the profession. Her strength lies in translating complex accounting matters into actionable insights, enabling clients to gain a clearer understanding of their financial picture and grow with confidence. Ellen is known for her analytical mindset and her approachable style. She’s passionate about the intricacies of accounting and enjoys working through unique challenges, identifying patterns, distinguishing between them, and finding the right solutions. Her ability to build trust and educate clients along the way has made her a valued advisor across industries.
Throughout her career, Ellen has also remained active in the community. She is a former board member and treasurer of Pike Ride, the Catamount Institute, and SET Family Medical Clinics, where she contributed her time and expertise to local causes she believes in. Ellen enjoys biking, hiking, and playing ice hockey.
