Hale Fields is a Partner at Sorren. Hale brings over 15 years of experience in both public and private accounting. His background spans tax, audit, and advisory services for a broad range of industries, including construction, engineering, healthcare, government, and nonprofit organizations. Hale works with clients of all sizes, from single-owner businesses to large corporations with operations in multiple states, providing solutions that support long-term growth and compliance. In addition to his audit and tax expertise, Hale has worked extensively with clients on strengthening internal controls and leading fraud investigations. In one notable case, he helped confirm and quantify fraudulent activity by a key employee, providing documentation used by both law enforcement and an insurance carrier. He regularly advises CFOs and business leaders on identifying internal control deficiencies and restoring financial accuracy.

Hale was drawn back to Harris in 2018 after previously working there earlier in his career. A Coeur d’Alene native, he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s presence to North Idaho, bringing with him a deep belief in building strong client relationships and delivering high-caliber service. Hale enjoys skiing with his wife, Shawnna, and their two children, boating on Lake Coeur d’Alene, and cheering for the Boise State Broncos. He once performed stand-up comedy. He dreams of living abroad in retirement, preferably in Portugal, although he remains captivated by the landscapes closer to home, such as Oregon’s Alvord Desert.
