Kristin is a Director in Sorren’s Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice, where she helps businesses strengthen their accounting functions through outsourced accounting, technical accounting guidance, and strategic financial leadership. With experience spanning public accounting, controllership, internal audit, and consulting, Kristin advises organizations ranging from startups to middle-market companies across the technology, real estate, construction, professional services, private equity, nonprofit, and manufacturing sectors. She is known for her collaborative approach, technical expertise, and passion for helping clients use accounting as a tool to achieve their business goals.
Throughout her career, Kristin has led complex accounting engagements and built scalable financial processes that improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making. Prior to joining Sorren, she led Crowe’s Client Accounting Services practice, overseeing outsourced accounting engagements while providing technical accounting guidance on revenue recognition, software capitalization, and lease accounting. Her background also includes controllership, consulting, and assurance roles, giving her a well-rounded perspective when advising clients. Kristin is particularly skilled at leveraging technology and automation to strengthen accounting operations, helping organizations streamline processes, improve reporting accuracy, and build financial functions that support long-term growth
A lifelong Chicagoan, Kristin enjoys expressing her creativity outside of work through art and crocheting. She especially enjoys making handmade gifts for family and friends, including prayer shawls, and spends her free time drawing and painting with watercolor and acrylics. She is also proud of raising her two children in the city she has always called home.
