Marie Greene is the CAS Partner for the West Region and the Professional Services Sector Leader at Sorren, Inc. She works with a wide range of clients, with deep experience serving professional service providers, especially legal firms, as well as marketing, media, ecommerce, real estate, and nonprofit organizations. Her client work spans multi-state and multi-entity businesses ranging from pre-revenue companies to organizations with roughly $40 million in revenue.
Over the course of her career, Marie has worked in both traditional firm environments and entrepreneurial settings. She began as an auditor at a mid-size CPA firm, later built and grew the client accounting department there, and went on to found Connected Accounting in 2019. She is known for building efficient accounting operations, solving complex process challenges, and helping clients create stronger internal systems that support growth and better decision-making. Marie is especially passionate about being hands-on with clients and helping them improve their internal accounting processes so they can save time, access better data, and make more informed business decisions. One of her most meaningful professional accomplishments was helping a client increase net profit margin from 6% to 35%, which contributed to the business being sold for millions of dollars more than it likely would have been 18 months earlier. At Sorren, she is excited to help strengthen collaboration across the firm, embrace new technology, and create efficiencies that allow teams to stay focused on serving clients.
Outside of work, Marie grew up in Saint-Malo, France, and is a first-generation American who speaks French and Spanish. She is inspired by leadership thinkers like Brené Brown, Patrick Lencioni, and Simon Sinek, and she is an avid NFL fan.
