With over 25 years of experience spanning accounting, audit, consulting, and leadership, Matthew brings a deep understanding of financial operations and a clear vision for scalable, tech-forward client solutions. Known for his entrepreneurial mindset and approachable leadership style, Matthew has a track record of building high-performing teams and productizing financial offerings for emerging and high-growth industries. Prior to Sorren, Matthew served as the President of Acuity Accounting, where he led a national team of virtual accountants and CFOs serving startups and entrepreneurs. He has also played an active role in the Georgia technology ecosystem, holding board positions with the Atlanta Technology Angels and the Venture Atlanta Advisory Board.
At Sorren, Matthew is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the accounting practice. He leads national teams through transformational growth, ensuring the consistent delivery of financial clarity, operational efficiency, and insight-driven decision support. He plays a key role in aligning our accounting operations with firmwide objectives, overseeing performance metrics, and enhancing client experience through continuous improvement, scalable delivery models, and technology integration.

Whether he’s designing new service lines or translating complex tax and accounting rules into actionable plans, he’s committed to making finance accessible, impactful, and aligned with every client’s goals. He currently serves as a strategic advisor on the Ramp and Bill advisory boards, where he helps shape the future of accounting technology.
