Todd Ames is an Office Partner-in-Charge at Sorren. As the primary point of leadership for the offices in the Greater Idaho region, he drives client satisfaction, team development, operational excellence, culture initiatives, and business growth, while upholding Sorren’s values and vision. With nearly 30 years of experience in public accounting, Todd specializes in tax planning and consulting for businesses across the medical, construction, and real estate industries. He works closely with clients to develop long-term strategies that minimize tax liability, support growth, and adapt to changing regulations. His expertise spans business structure planning, compliance, and proactive financial guidance. Before joining Sorren with Harris, Todd held roles at Ernst & Young and Solutia Inc. and later became a Partner at Deagle Ames LLC. He’s known for his inquisitive nature and technical depth and thrives on helping diverse clients find innovative ways to solve problems, scale effectively, and plan for the future.

Originally from Pocatello, Idaho, Todd played football in high school before attending college in Utah. He’s passionate about fitness and enjoys staying active with his wife, Charissa, and their four children, often followed by a well-earned meal. He’s also a proud supporter of his alma mater, cheering on the BYU Cougars whenever he can.
