John Basso is the Partner-in-Charge of Sorren’s Chicago Monroe St office, with over 30 years of public accounting experience, including leadership as the former Managing Partner of JRJBF and time with an international accounting firm. He provides personal and business tax services, as well as accounting and consulting support to closely held businesses across various industries. John works with clients in multiple industries, including real estate, manufacturing, restaurants, professional services, and medical practices. He brings deep experience in estate and trust planning, tax compliance, and advising small to mid-sized businesses on strategies to reduce tax exposure and improve financial reporting. Known for his collaborative approach, John helps clients navigate the complexities of tax law while supporting long-term planning and growth. He also assists with timely financial reporting to support compliance with loan provisions and refinancing opportunities.

Outside of work, John is an active member of the Italian-American Social Club.
