Mark Damon is the West Regional Managing Partner at Sorren, bringing decades of experience in both public accounting and private industry leadership. He oversees strategic growth across multiple offices and continues to lead assurance and consulting engagements. Known for his ability to create forward-thinking business solutions, Mark blends technical expertise with a deep understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by clients. His background includes oversight of multi-entity operations, large-scale real estate developments, and complex audit and consulting projects.
After launching his public accounting career at Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young, he transitioned into private industry as Vice President and Corporate Controller of a large nonprofit organization, overseeing more than 50 operating entities and managing over $1.5 billion in assets. In 2012, Mark joined KDP, quickly rising to the position of Partner and later becoming Managing Partner. Under his leadership, the firm expanded from 13 team members in Southern Oregon to a multi-state operation of nearly 100 professionals. He also led the development and construction of the firm’s offices in Medford and Boise.
Mark grew up in San Diego before relocating to Southern Oregon. Mark has held numerous leadership roles, including Chair of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the Oregon Society of CPAs, Board Member of the Oregon Society of CPAs, and Vice Chair of the Britt Music and Arts Festival. Outside of work, Mark enjoys time with his wife and two children. You’ll often find him mountain biking, fishing, or exploring new destinations.
